Sumitomo Electrical Wiring Systems – Deutschland (SEWS-D)

Purchases Powerway to Manage APQP and TS 16949

Monday 20th June 2005: Sumitomo Electrical Wiring Systems Deutschland (SEWSD)

have joined their UK based sister company SEWS-E in purchasing Powerway Suite

2000 for managing APQP/PPAP and TS 16949.

The company has committed to achieving TS status during 2006 and see Powerway’s

Writer Tools and Template Packs as a way of accelerating that process. These tools

present the user with the ability to generate Level I, II and III documents quickly

from pre-written TS16949 generic content. The information within these documents

is then managed centrally as “data” which greatly speeds up making changes in the

future.

Powerway’s Quality Planner application is already in use at of hundreds of

automotive supply companies worldwide, including at Sumitomo in the UK, who

recommended their German colleagues have a look at the system. This tool helps

generate and manage all the required APQP and PPAP information and

documentation and with its ability to link data to MS Project is a very powerful tool.

We look forward greatly to working with Frank Radewagen (Quality Manager at

SEWS-D) and his team in the coming months and years to ensure another successful

Powerway implementation.
