Long Term Powerway User Omnipless Selects SinglePoint for Configuration Management

Omnipless Manufacturing (PTY), a Cape Town based division of avionics giant Chelton SatCom, has selected Syncronology’s

SinglePoint software to meet its document configuration management requirements. The company first used Powerway

software for document control around 5 years ago.

Regional and Global Aviation Industry regulations place a huge burden on any company operating in this area, and Omnipless

had previously tackled this incredibly important task through a series of complex spreadsheets which demanded a high level of

manual input and control. This will all change with the arrival of SinglePoint.

Rozanne Liefeldt, Configuration Control Manager at Omnipless explains: “We have successfully been using Powerway for document

control for many years. Last year, we decide that we needed to find a tool to automatically bring together relevant documents and

data to define our product baselines. Finally we selected the new SinglePoint module. Previously tasks that were done manually in Microsoft

Excel over a long period of time are now easily executed with one push of a button in SinglePoint and all relevant info is accurately and

speedily delivered in a customizable report suitable to our needs. Our production department is also very interested and keen to use the

tool as we will now have real-time pick and click manufacturing Instructions and data for both internal and supplier based operators as

well as infinite traceability and reporting all within the one application.”
