Amcor Winterbourne Purchases Powerway Suite 2000 to Manage

Document Control and ISO9001:2000

Friday 24th June 2005: Part of flexible packaging giant Amcor, Amcor Flexibles

Winterbourne, has joined three other UK based Amcor sites in implementing

Powerway Suite 2000 Document Control and Compliance Management software at its

Winterbourne plant near Bristol.

The need to control an ever increasing number of business critical documents has led

to the decision being taken as the previous manual systems are no longer able to

cope with the demands being placed on it by customers and staff alike.

As well as purchasing a series of Document Manager and Desktop licences, Amcor

have also invested in Powerway iPortal. This tool enables content that is being

controlled in the client/server modules to be automatically “ported” to a web

location, typically a corporate intranet.

Because of the design of iPortal, the solution lends itself particularly well to

integration with mature intranet sites, which means the users are already used to

using it making it very easy to implement.

Our team here at Syncronology are looking forward greatly to working with Jane

Gay, Quality Manager at Winterbourne, and her team over the coming months and

years in ensuring a successful implementation.
