Singlepoint goes LIVE at Key Plastics |
Automotive parts manufacturer Key Plastics have solved their engineering change management problems
by deploying Singlepoint™. Although a very complex process, Singlepoint™ has been able to capture the
detailed business rules to provide them with a fully automated approach that is designed to bridge the
communications gap caused by the current manual process which is based around a very lengthy and
complicated spreadsheet.
Singlepoint™ is the perfect replacement for these “single entry” spreadsheets that sit on a common drive
on the network and can only be accessed by one user at a time. With its built-in notifications and design
configurability, Singlepoint™ now provides them with a dynamic real-time application that not only
controls the process but drives value through its visibility and access to live data for management reporting
purposes.
The team at Key Plastics have received training on how to configure their own processes in Singlepoint™
from now on and they plan to deploy the system for document control, program management and APQP
(Advanced Product Quality Planning).
Fernando Moniz, Program Management Co-ordinator at the plant in Leiria, Portugal, has lots of plans for
Singlepoint™, “ We believe Singlepoint™ will be a very useful tool for methods standardisation in general
within Key Plastics Portugal. We like the flexibility of the system and it is clear that it will give us a more
accurate means to communicate customer requirements but we plan on using it for many things besides
this.”

the KPP team and ensuring that Singlepoint™ successfully meets their objectives. |
